MCWD volunteers (Master Water Stewards, lake associations, neighborhood associations, etc.):

Do you plan to host an event? Are you interested in representing MCWD at a community event in the future?  Want to learn more about the resources the District has to offer? Please join us on Tuesday, April 9th for a continuing education course titled “Events: Connecting with Your Community”. This training is highly encouraged if you plan to represent MCWD at a community event in the future. Master Water Stewards earn 2 hours of continuing education for this training.

Who: Master Water Stewards in the Minnehaha Creek watershed

When: Tuesday, April 9th, 5:45-8:00 pm

Where: MCWD office (15320 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka)

Why: The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District wants to maintain a presence throughout all of our communities, but it is impossible to staff every event on our own. We need YOU to represent MCWD at events, engage with residents, and share your knowledge – plus you earn volunteer hours! We’ll start with pizza, snacks and networking at 5:30 pm, followed by a short training, an opportunity to interact with our displays and resources, and then some more socializing with fellow MCWD stewards! This interactive training will include roles & expectations, event prep & setup, tips & tricks for communicating with the public, and a demonstration of our displays/exhibits.

Please RSVP for this event HERE! We hope to see many of you there!
