Maple Creek Pond Improvement Project

The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) will hold a public hearing at the Meeting of the Board of Managers on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 7pm for the Maple Creek Pond Improvement Project. The project is being led by the City of Plymouth with funding support from the MCWD. The project is located in Maple Creek Park (16099 27th Ave. North) in Plymouth and will include construction of an iron-enhanced sand filtration system to improve water quality in downstream Gleason Lake. The total estimated cost for the project is $241,000 with $100,000 in proposed funding from the MCWD’s ad valorem tax levy. Approximately 95.81% of the MCWD’s levy is allocated to Hennepin County and 4.19% is allocated to Carver County. A summary of the project is attached.

The meeting will be held virtually.
