20-325: Board Consideration

The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) Board of Managers is considering MCWD permit application 20-325 as described below and is scheduled to take action on permit at the meeting date listed above. MCWD Rules require notice to all property owners within 600' of the proposed permitted area as a courtesy, in the event there are any questions or concerns.

20-325: The City of Shorewood (Applicant) has applied for a MCWD permit for Erosion Control, Wetland Protection, Floodplain Alteration, Waterbody Crossings & Structures and a Variance to install a new outlet structure at Mary Lake (currently a land locked waterbody) in the City of Shorewood. The outlet structure will connect into the existing stormsewer network and discharge to Studer Pond resulting in a 0.72” increase to the 100-year floodstage of Studer Pond. The stated request for the Variance is to alleviate localized flooding that has effected residential properties around Mary Lake.
