There is currently no public access on Wolsfeld Lake. It is located just north of Hwy 6 in Medina.
Wolsfeld Lake is a class 2B lake protected for aquatic life and recreation. MCWD staff has been monitoring the lake once a month from May through September since 2006.

Monitoring season duration was from May through September. Surface samples were collected once a month throughout the season and the parameters analyzed include: total phosphorus (TP) and chlorophyll-a. Measurements of Secchi disc depth were also recorded.

The following summary refers to Figure 11.9 (a-c).
- Secchi disk depth was 1.7 m in May and increased to 2.4 m by June. For the remainder of the season, secchi disk depth was below the standard (> 1.2 m) ranging from 0.4 m to 0.6 m.
- Chlorophyll-a concentrations fluctuated throughout the season. Concentrations in June were the lowest of the season (3 µg/L) and concentrations in September were the highest of the season (139 µg/L). The standard limit is concentrations less than 15 µg/L.
- Surface TP concentrations were below the standard (< 40 µg/L) for the entire season. Concentrations increased from May through July and slightly decreased in August. Surface TP concentrations reached the maximum of the season in September at 201 µg/L five times the standard limit.
