There is currently no public access for Snyder Lake. It is located to the west of Hwy 101 north of County Road 6 in Plymouth.
Snyder Lake is a class 2B lake protected for aquatic life and recreation. MCWD staff has been monitoring the lake once a month from May through September since 2006.

Monitoring season duration was from May through September. Surface samples were collected once a month throughout the season and the parameters analyzed include: total phosphorus (TP) and chlorophyll-a. Measurements of Secchi disc depth were also recorded.

The following summary refers to Figure 12.9 (a-c).
- Secchi disk depth gradually decreased from 1.5 m to 0.25 m through the entire season (standard > 1.2 m).
- Chlorophyll-a concentrations were below or equal to the standard (< 15 µg/L) in May. From June to September, concentrations increased from 28 µg/L to 108 µg/L, seven times the standard limit.
- Surface TP concentrations were below or equal to the standard (< 40 µg/L) in May. In June, concentrations increased to 133 µg/L, three times the standard. TP concentrations decreased in July (91 µg/L); however, increased to three times the standard again in September (135 µg/L).
