Each year the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) seeks individuals to serve on its Citizen Advisory Committee.

If you'd like to help protect and preserve Minnehaha Creek, Lake Minnetonka, the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes, and other valued resources, become a Citizen Advisor for the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. 

Application Form 

Applications are accepted in November and December for the following year. The MCWD Board of Managers reviews applications and appoints individuals to the CAC annually each January.

Each year local government entities in the MCWD are invited to appoint one individual (resident of MCWD) and one alternate to serve on this committee. Any resident of MCWD can apply for a spot on the Citizen Advisory Committee with or without endorsement from their local government.

In addition to the individuals currently serving on the CAC, MCWD Staff annually seeks to solicit the involvement of other interested parties. Appointments are primarily based on referral by municipalities, general qualifications, geographic representation of existing committee members, previous experience with MCWD and other factors deemed relevant by the MCWD Board of Managers. Future applications will be accepted starting in November and December of 2011.
