Download the Combined Joint Notification Water Resource Application Form (note: this form can be filled in electronically) and submit to the MCWD to apply for a General Permit for the following projects:

• Single Family Home Construction/Remodel
• Erosion Control
• Residential Subdivision/Development/ Redevelopment
• Commercial Construction/Institutional Construction/ Reconstruction
• Dredging
• Floodplain Alteration
• Wetland Protection
• Lakescaping/Bioengineering

Application for Permit Transfer
Download the Application for Permit Transfer. Use this form to apply to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) for proposed transfer of an existing MCWD Fast-Track Permit to a new property owner. (Note: this form can be filled in and saved electronically [see notes on how to do this] and submit to the MCWD. This application requires:

• Original signatures
• All required accompanying documents

Shoreline Improvement Applications

• Riprap Applications (note: this form can be filled in electronically)
  • For riprap projects, which meet the fast track requirements
• Sandblanket Permit Applications

Please submit the appropriate application as stated. If it is uncertain if your project meets MCWD permit requirements, please contact District staff. A project may require a permit from other entities such as the Army Corps of Engineers, the Minnesota DNR, Minnesota PCA or other Local Municipality. See additional permitting related links for more information. OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED AUTHORIZATIONS FROM THE APPLICABLE AGENCIES BEFORE A PROJECT BEGINS.

For some projects, DNR rules exceed MCWD rules, however the DNR General Permit 2001-6009 delegates permitting authority to the MCWD for a number of projects previously permitted by DNR. The project must meet conditions stipulated as stated in the DNR General Permit Rules.
