Public Lands Day Hike - new location!

Minnehaha Falls, Minneapolis
Saturday, September 30, 2017 10:00 am -12:00 pm

Join in on the celebration of National Public Lands Day at Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. We'll be hosting guided nature hikes with Wilderness Inquiry that include in-depth information about this site. The event is free and includes kids' activities like miniature golf, a scavenger hunt, geocaching, and leaf rubbings.

Look for the MCWD flag near Sea Salt to find the registration table.

”Public Lands Day Hike" is part of “Jump In & Make a Splash!” - a series of community events across the watershed celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. The series concludes with the Sunset Celebration on Thursday, November 2 at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church in Minneapolis, featuring live music, food and drink. Tickets are $40. People who attend at least five events qualify for half-price admission and those who attend all nine events get in for free!

The event is sponsored by MCWD and Wilderness Inquiry, in partnership with the Freshwater Society, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, Berne Scale, REI, Target, Three Rivers Park District, and Tonka Bay Marina.
