Cynthia Krieg Watershed Stewardship Fund
(CKWSF)
The fund is available to nonprofit citizen groups and other organizations to fund water-related educational programs and projects, as well as innovative water quality improvement and stormwater management projects. See our CKWSF page for more information.
Watershed Association Initiative

MCWD is assisting the formation of new grassroots citizen groups such as lake associations and ‘friends of’ creeks or wetlands through the Watershed Association Initiative. The initiative is run in partnership with Minnesota Waters. Special funding is available.
Water Quality Presentations

We're happy to come to your organization or group and give a presentation about what you can do to protect clean water. We also coordinate outreach events and training sessions. Keep up with what's going on at MCWD to make sure you don't miss out. We've done presentations for a variety of groups, including Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs and religious education forums. Contact MCWD's Education Manager for more information.
Wetland Buffer Presentations
Many newer developments have legally defined wetland buffers with special rules. We can give short, informal presentations for neighborhood groups and homeowners associations to help them understand what’s involved. We can also provide more information and resources. Contact MCWD's Wetland Technician for more information.
