- Serves as the District’s spokesperson and raises public awareness about the District’s work and the importance of water resource protection.
- Specializes in community, government and media relations, organizes special events and writes for local publications.
- Notable projects:
- Organized the 2012 AIS Symposium – a two day conference on Aquatic Invasive Species management and prevention. Attended by 200+ people.
- Coordinated 2012 Minnehaha Creek Cleanup, which collected 2 tons of trash from the creek and surrounding lakes in Minneapolis and Edina. More than 600 people participated.
- Organized the 2012 Watershed Heroes Awards, which recognized individuals and organizations for their clean water work.
